The Resurrection

Mahler's 2nd Symphony - The Resurrection. Once again moved almost to tears as we played it. I did not play particularly well, but it was, I suppose, well enough.

That idiot - he dropped a £5 note on the table where he had been sitting. The principal trumpet found it and asked if it were his. Instead of saying thank you, he took it from him, sniffed it and said (in front of the assembled women and young girls) " Stinks of my piss, must be mine". What an oaf.

He had no right to be part of that symphony.

The difference between them

There is a difference between an enemy and a friend - an enemy is more honest - he will tell you right from the start that he is going to to stab you in the back.
